Sephora is seriously one of the worlds greatest evils. Once upon a time, I was VIB Rouge. I WAS SO POOR. Why did I allow this store to take so much of my money?
Anyways, I’m out of a couple of very important key components of my skincare routine, so I took the VIB Sale as an opportunity to try out some fancy products. Normally I use this blessed time of year to restock on the expensive products that I love, but it’s been a long summer and I’m keeping my wallet extra tight.
Here’s what I bought. But you should get whatever you want. Or don’t get anything.
I’m out of Vitamin C serum. I’ve been hunting for a perfect Vitamin C serum (my favorite is no longer sold at CVS and TBH I’m not buying one tiny ass bottle of vitamin C from Hylamide, especially since Deciem is going through some drama). I used Drunk Elephant’s a million years ago and I think I like it! But I don’t remember. I also constantly need moisturizer. Even after moving to swampy ass New Orleans I still had dry skin.
I’ve had a year+ long love affair with Differin but it has come to a bitter end. I started getting acne again last month and started supplementing my Differin with some lactic acid from The Ordinary. Differin and I are over, lactic acid and I are hot and freaking heavy. Why not try the world’s favorite lactic acid? Also, I’m almost of my face wash and clay is fun!
That’s it! I’ve toned down my skincare routine a lot and, honestly, my skin does not look worse. Soon I’ll be making a big ol post about my favorite budget skincare, but for now I just have this for you.
